July 11, 2012 CMA BC’s positive vote results provides mandate to proceed with unificationIn a communication to members, CMA BC reports that 3772 members (80% of their membership) participated in the June advisory vote. A full 94% of those respondents said “yes” to the question “Do you support the unification of the accounting designations in Canada.” In addition, 90% specifically supported unification in British Columbia of the Certified Management Accountants of British Columbia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. These results have provided a strong mandate to the CMA BC board to proceed with the merger. |
