BIOGRAPHY
Richard joined the CPA Canada Board of Directors in October 2022.
He brings more than 25 years of experience working with clients across various industries, including life sciences, technology and manufacturing. Based in Montreal, Richard is a partner at BDO Canada, serving as the audit and assurance line leader. He supports entities from small venture-capital backed startups to large publicly traded multinationals and is responsible for overseeing a variety of strategic transactions.
From 2007 to 2010, Richard belonged to a team dedicated to monitoring industry trends, understanding the needs of clients, and educating professionals who serve pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies globally. Previously, he also worked with large multinational organizations registered with the Securities Exchange Commission in the United States. Over the years, he has gained extensive knowledge of many industry-specific accounting and business issues in International Financial Reporting Standards, U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises.
Today, Richard serves as treasurer on the board of Printemps numérique.
