CPA Canada Mentorship Program for Indigenous Students
The goals of our program are to support Indigenous students through their high school years, help them understand the benefits of pursuing post-secondary education, expose them to the business environment, and help them consider potential job opportunities, including careers in business, finance and the accounting profession. BACKGROUND
The CPA Canada Mentorship Program for Indigenous Students began in 2008 as an initiative cofounded and codeveloped with the Martin Family Initiative (MFI). Its original mandate was to provide Indigenous high school students with mentorship teams from CPA firms to encourage them to complete high school and pursue post-secondary education. CPA Canada acknowledges the inspiration and support of the MFI in establishing the program, and our continued informal collaboration.
