Grades 4/5: Bartering
Help students understand the concept of bartering and the role money plays in the exchange of goods and services.
Time frame: 60 min
Learning objectives for students:
- different items have different values (i.e., one apple cannot be compared to one pound of wheat)
- money places a specific value on items

Activity:
- bartering game (item & task cards) — students must barter the items to complete the task
